Spatial output illustrates river simulation results for a selected constituent and model timestep. Spatial output renders the result by color coding each catchment according to the selected constituent’s magnitude. To view spatial output of simulation results, double-click in the Map Window outside of the watershed boundary while the GUI is in the Output mode. The following dialog box will appear:
The dialog provides a dropdown list to select a scenario, a dropdown list to select a parameter, and a date box with up and down arrows on the right side to select a model timestep. To select a scenario, click the pull down arrow for a list of scenarios and select one (e.g. BASE). To select a parameter, click the pull down arrow below for a list of parameters and select one (e.g. temperature). To select a date, click on the date and change it using the up and down arrows.
Spatial output results for temperature in the Catawba watershed on April 1, 1993 are illustrated in the figure below. The color of catchments, river segments, and reservoir segments reflects their temperature according to a scale shown on the Map Window.
