To view a vertical profile of simulation results in a reservoir segment, first create time series output by double-clicking on a reservoir segment with the GUI in Output Mode. Click on a parameter other than surface elevation in the list on the left side of the dialog. Then click on Profile Plot. The following dialog will appear:
Output for all open scenarios is displayed according to the legend below the graph. The simulated output is for the profile date shown in the lower left of the dialog. Black triangles represent observed data points. The observed data is for the closest date to the profile date for which there is data. The date used for the observed data is shown in the legend. Observed data can be shown or hidden by checking or unchecking Show Observed in the lower left of the dialog. If no black triangles are visible with Show Observed checked, there is no observed data for the selected parameter in the selected reservoir segment. To change the profile date, click the mouse on either the day, month, or year field. To change the field, click on the up and down arrows to the right of the date (,). The keyboard arrow keys perform the same function. The day, month, or year can also be entered directly with the letters and numbers on the keyboard. The graph automatically updates when a new date is chosen.
To export the graphical results in tabular text format, click on Create Text File. A text file with the name shown is then created. To change the name of the file to be created, click in the white box and enter a new name. The text file has two columns for each scenario plus observed data: the first column is the value, and the second column is the corresponding depth.
Output may be viewed for several profile and time series plots simultaneously. Leave the profile output dialog open and then create other profiles from the same reservoir segment or view output from elsewhere on the Map. To move the profile output dialog, click the mouse button down on the caption of the dialog, hold the button down, and drag the mouse. Let the mouse button up to drop the dialog. To close the output dialog, click on the in the upper right corner.
