The GUI is ready for viewing simulation results and observed data when it is in Output Mode. To determine if the model is in Output Mode, choose Mode on the menu. If Output has a check mark next to it, the GUI is in Output Mode. If it is not, select it from the menu to put the GUI into Output Mode. There are three types of output available from the Mode menu: time series output, longitudinal (Gowdy) output, and flux output.
Time series output shows simulation results and observed data (observed water quality and/or hydrology) for one location over the time period of the model simulation. With the GUI in output mode, double-click on any catchment, river segment, or reservoir segment to display the time series output. If observed data are available for the selected location, the data will be displayed with the simulation results. WARMF also generates simulation output statistics when observed data is available to evaluate model performance. These results are accessed by clicking on the Statistics button, in the lower-left corner of the time series output window.
Longitudinal (Gowdy) output tracks flow and chemical constituents along a river reach, and can be displayed for each model timestep. Flux output tracks constituents as they move and react throughout the watershed.
Two additional forms of model output are available for reservoir segments: profile results and mass output plots.
