A water diversion is the transfer of water from a water source (river, stream, reservoir) to another location. Water is commonly diverted from surface waters for irrigation of agricultural land and public water supply.
To determine the impact of water rights purchase or conversion of agricultural land to other land uses, change the factors from 1. The diverted flow for each diversion will be multiplied by the factor.
